Dwelling Privacy Policy

('www.dwelling.co.kr' hereinafter referred to as 'dwelling') is committed to protecting and respecting the privacy and rights of users in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, and has established the following policy to handle user complaints related to personal information and ensure smooth processing of personal information.

If 'dwelling' amends the privacy policy, it will notify users through website announcements (or individual notices).

○ This policy will be effective from January 1, 2018.


1. Purpose of processing personal information 

Dwelling processes personal information for the following purposes. The processed personal information will not be used for any purpose other than the following, and if the purpose of use changes, prior consent will be obtained.

① Dwelling retains and processes personal information within the period of retention and use of personal information agreed upon or collected from the information subject in accordance with the law.

6. Rights and obligations of information subjects and legal representatives, and how to exercise them As an information subject, users have the following rights regarding personal information, which can be exercised:

① Information subjects can exercise the right to access, correct, delete, and request the suspension of processing personal information from dwelling at any time.

② The exercise of the rights under paragraph 1 can be done through written documents, electronic mail, facsimile transmission, or other methods specified in Annex No. 11 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act, and dwelling will promptly respond to such requests.

③ The rights under paragraph 1 can be exercised by the legal representative of the information subject or an agent authorized by the information subject. In this case, a power of attorney in accordance with Annex No. 11 of the Enforcement Rules of the Personal Information Protection Act must be submitted.

④ The right to access and request the suspension of processing personal information may be limited in accordance with Article 35, Paragraph 5 and Article 37, Paragraph 2 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

⑤ The request for correction and deletion of personal information cannot be made if the personal information is specified as the collection target under other laws.

⑥ Dwelling verifies whether the person making the request for access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing personal information is the information subject or a legitimate representative, and takes necessary actions without delay.


7. Items of personal information being processed

① Dwelling processes the following personal information:

8. Disposal of personal information

Dwelling will dispose of personal information without delay when the purpose of processing personal information is achieved. The procedure, deadline, and method of disposal are as follows:

- Disposal procedure:

The information provided by users will be transferred to a separate database (or separate documents for paper documents) after the purpose is achieved, and stored for a certain period according to internal policies and relevant laws. The transferred personal information will not be used for any other purpose unless required by law.

- Disposal deadline:

When personal information becomes unnecessary due to the achievement of the purpose of processing, termination of the relevant service, or termination of the business, it will be disposed of within 5 days from the date when it is recognized as unnecessary.

Electronic files will be disposed of using technical methods that cannot reproduce the records.

Dwelling will respond and handle inquiries from users without delay.

 

11. Changes to Privacy Policy

① This Privacy Policy is effective from the enforcement date, and if there are any additions, deletions, or modifications in accordance with laws and policies, Dwelling will announce the changes through notices at least 7 days prior to the enforcement of the changes.


12. Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information

Dwelling implements the necessary technical, managerial, and physical measures to ensure the security as required by Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

① Regular Internal Audits

To secure the handling of personal information, Dwelling conducts regular internal audits (once every quarter).

② Minimization and Training of Personnel Handling Personal Information

Dwelling designates personnel responsible for handling personal information and minimizes the number of individuals with access to personal information, and implements measures for managing personal information.

③ Establishment and Implementation of Internal Management Plans

To ensure the secure processing of personal information, Dwelling establishes and implements internal management plans.

④ Technical Measures against Hacking and Other Threats

Dwelling installs security programs, regularly updates and inspects them, and sets up systems in controlled areas with restricted access from external sources to prevent leakage or damage to personal information caused by hacking, computer viruses, etc. Encryption of Personal Information

User's personal information is encrypted and stored in a way that only the user can access. Important data is encrypted or locked using separate security features for files and transmission.

Access to the database system that handles personal information is granted, modified, and revoked to control access to personal information. Intrusion prevention systems are used to control unauthorized access from external sources.
